FSM - Fine Screen Horizontal
FSM fine screen horizontal for water extraction in fish protection standard
This rugged fine screen is primarily used for sea, river and lake water extraction. The drive components are located behind the screening area. Screenings are removed and conveyed without being taken out of the water stream.
Functional Principle:
Water flows through a stainless steel bar screen which retains pollutants. The pollutants are conveyed further via a special circulating rake working on the reverse flow principle. The teeth of the circulating rake engage through the bar screen in such a way that clogging of screenings is avoided.
Screenings are not discharged, but remain in the water. The drive is located above the water level and the drive chains are protected by the screen grid. The screen grid can be arranged in modular design, enabling installation to be carried out through small openings. The small gap widths of the screening surface and absence of sharp edges enable the requirements of fishery associations to be fulfilled.
