To overcome particular problems encountered in storm-water
The FSM storm-water screen was developed to overcome particular problems encountered in stormwater treatment installations.
In 1997, FSM developed an efficient storm-water screen for waste water, in order to retain screenings and sanitary articles and prevent them from entering the receiving water. The first machine was installed in 1998 and has been operating trouble-free since then. The FSM storm-water screen represents the ideal waste water pretreatment solution
Functional principal:
The screening surface consists of a half-cylindrical, perforated screening basket. Compared with bar screens, this design results in a substantial increase in the amount of screenings retained. This is a decisive argument when discharging into receiving water.
The screening basket is mounted in the waste water channel parallel to the sill. The cylindrical screening surface results in a substantial increase in the flowed through area compared with other solutions, combined with a compact design.
Waste water flows through the screening surface from bottom to top. .
