Description

Galbiati Group manufactures main and auxiliary gear drives for mills and kilns for cement industry. Galbiati Group recently implemented a main gear drive for mills and kilns addressed to the cement industry with a rigid electro-welded housing welded and machined on CNC machine tools of modern design. The cement gearbox is driven by two electric motors 2500 HP 750 rpm, H.t=3,3Kv with a total weight of 80.000 Kg and a transmission ratio of 48:1. Cement Gears are made from high-quality forged rims in electro-welded carburized steel structure using a special process and ISO-DIN 6 ground. Welds of the cement gearbox are performed by a complete preheating and cooling process due to the different carbon contents and different thermal expansion system of each bearing. (PT 100). Two input shafts, high quality roller type bearings sized for at least 100.000 hours full-load service. Tectyl rust inhibitor is sprayed on all machined surfaces prior to package for sea shipment to the Eastern end customer in Tunisia. Full speed – reduced load test checks that the temperatures, vibrations, noise level, pressure and oil flow rates meet the design values, was successfully tested at Galbiati Group workshop in the presence of the customer and the end-user.
