IMPACT TESTS FOR CHARPY-IZOD
Instruments from the Impact family are used to perform impact tests to valuate the energy necessary to break a Charpy or Izod specimen.
Main features:
- Lifting of the hammer is performed by a motorised system that automatically resets the instrument at the end of each test. An automatic brake is fitted as standard for digital versions.
- Manual specimen loading is done from outside of the machine, with a suitable device that provides centering on the support.
- The digital console is complete with back-lit LCD display and a membrane keyboard displaying the obtained results.
- The control unit allows selection of language, test type, reference standard, and the results to be displayed in sequence.
- The results can be printed or handled by dedicated software.
- The hammer can be instrumented for dynamic analysis of absorbed energy during specimen impact.
- The instrument is provided with transparent perimetral integral protection, with an electrically interlocked access door that can be opened only when the pendulum hammer is stopped and in its rest position.
The instrument complies fully with the requirements of the EN 10045/1,ASTM E-23 and JIS B 7722-99 Standards.
