The changes in the length are converted into electrical resistance values that can either be directly measured (passive transmitters) or converted further into standard analogue output signals (active FG80 transmitters). Waterresistent and maintenance-free It has unparalleled long-term stability and is 100 % waterproof, which makes it ideal for use in high humidity. In pure ambient air the measurement element is maintenance-free.
