Description

Our CGA 590 SF6 gas regulators are made of stainless steel which is resistant to rust and abrasion. The diaphragm is made of Hastelloy steel, a nickel-based steel alloy which has great resistance to corrosion and oxidization. Hastelloy metal is widely regarded as one of the world’s toughest alloys and benefits in the critical application and the repeated use of a device. Easy to maneuver knob Specially manufactured for SF6 gas regulator parameters Input and output gauge with a 2 inch diameter ¼ inch MNPT outlet fitting 4 inch CGA590 inlet nozzle to ensure adequate work space for hand tools Gauge ranges: Input: 0-1000 PSI (70 Bar) Output: 0-150 PSI (10 Bar) Surrounded by fitted foam in cardboard box Body burst pressure up to 4350 PSI These regulators are intended for primary pressure control on non-corrosive, high purity or liquefied gases (up to grade 4.5) in applications where minor fluctuations in outlet pressure, due to diminishing inlet supply pressure, can be tolerated. When handling SF6 gas, it is important to take extra precautions to make sure no gas leaks out into the atmosphere. SF6 gas has a global warming potential of 26300 times that of CO2, so tighten up those connection points. Check out our blog for more information on SF6 gas handling best practices.
