This process is based on the evaporation of a liquid boiling at the temperature of 102/104° C, more or less, and on the subsequent raise until 130/140° C of the steam deriving by the mechanical action of a compressor.
By pushing the compressed steam inside a chamber which has a lower temperature, it is possible to achieve the condensation of the steam itself: then the steam releases its evaporation heat to the liquid contained in the condenser. By this way, it is possible to obtain a same amount of evaporated liquid and condensed steam. It is possible to achieve then the full recovery of the latent heat as a heating source for another liquid next to its boiling point. These distillers can supply both chemically and biologically pure water that can be used for the preparation of injectable solutions.
The technical improvements have allowed us to reach the following results:
ELIMINATION OF GAS IMPURITIES FROM THE FEED WATER
ASCENSIONAL SPEED OF THE PRODUCED STEAM
PREVENTION OF STEAM DRAGGING
PROTECTION AGAINST POLLUTION
MANUFACTURING CHARACTERISTICS
The PSMC series by GDN is the result of more than 40 years of experience and of the constant technological development in the manufacturing of equipment for pharmaceutical use. The equipment is completely made in AISI 316 L stainless steel with pickled and passivated active surface. All internal welds are TIG (tungsten inert gas), the seals are in PTFE and the chassis is in AISI 304 stainless steel. Our equipment follow the strictest rules of Pharmacopeia and the guidelines of CGMP, GAMP and FDA. The control of the machinery is performed by an interface with SIEMENS PLC & SCADA.
