GE Vernova 7F gas turbine
The demands of today’s power generation industry are many: low cost of electricity, dispatch volatility, along with high efficiency, reliability, and asset availability. With approximately 950 installed units producing ~175GW of power in 11 countries, GE Vernova’s 7F.04 and 7F.05 gas turbines are proven performers in all these areas.
GE Vernova 7F features and benefits
GE Vernova was proud to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of the 7F gas turbine in 2019. The 7F technology is core to GE Vernova's Gas Power portfolio of products and services. Its installed base of approximately 950 units is a testament to the engine’s success and customers’ trust to partner with GE Vernova to achieve high performance and operational reliability.
In terms of fuel flexibility, the 7F.04 gas turbine is the only turbine in its class to burn Arabian Super Light (ASL), 15% C2, +20/-10% Modified Wobbe Index (MWI).
A simple-cycle 7F.05 gas turbine can reliably produce 200 MW within 10 minutes, and can reach full load in under 11 minutes. A 7F.05 can also balance renewables by load-following at 40 MW/min ramp rates while maintaining emissions compliance.
Enhancing customer value
The 7F.05’s improved maintenance practices, combined with features like field removal compressor airfoils means it can reduce replacement time, downtime, and costs.
The 7F.04 features an enhanced compressor and hot gas path cooling and sealing technologies, improving both performance and durability.
