The FasRapid High-performance belt grinding machines are custom-made for the pre-processing of weld preparations on metal plates, straight edges or pipe ends. Because of its precision, speed and finish-quality, the FasRapid technology is the ideal partner for hand-held and robotic welding, especially on materials such as stainless steels and high-strength fine-grain steels. Two different machining processes are used in the LGA and LGC series. The LGA series works according to the so-called clamping-grinding stroke method. Here the workpiece is first clamped firmly and the grinding unit then moves on the workpiece. The pull-through process is used in the LGC series. Here the workpiece moves continuously on the stationary grinding unit.
