CMM-6RL unit is designed for regeneration of transformer oils.
The regeneration process is about running the oil through six columns each of which contains 75 kilograms of Fuller’s earth adsorbent — a substance with a microporous structure. Furthermore, all harmful impurities and aging products are retained in the adsorbent granules. The turbid and brown oil becomes clean and clear. The breakdown voltage increases, the acidity number and the dielectric loss tangent decrease. Owing to regeneration, used oil regains its properties to the level of new oil and is reused in a transformer for insulation and heat removal.
As soon as the oil regeneration quality ceases to meet the requirements, the unit can be switched to the sorbent reactivation mode. The sorbent is reclaimed by burning and subsequently used again for transformer oil regeneration.
compact size;
may be used along with degassing units;
the adsorbent can be reactivated 300–500 times;
money saving due to reclaiming the oil properties and reusing the oil in transformers.
