Gloor tools are available with logarithmic relief angle or non-logarithmic grinding. They are manufactured to fulfill our customers’ requirements. The variety of shapes you can have cut is unlimited. Thanks to our patented manufacturing process, we can manufacture tools with the smallest possible gear-tooth gaps. Our tools are available with full or partial profiles for burr-free products. With our own production process, which we have developed in-house, we are able to produce even very complicated profile shapes with logarithmic relief grinding. Normally, profile shapes are relief ground in radial direction. On request, we are also able to carry out logarithmic relief grinding of one-sided profile shapes in the radial and, slightly, in the axial direction (while retaining the exact shape of the profile). The logarithmic relief grinding of the cutters means that their cutting faces can be reground several times without changing the profile; the profile remains 100% constant and the life of the tool is that of a new tool. Form milling cutters are normally straight fluted but on request we can also provide helically fluted cutters using logarithmic relief grinding.
