Gloor thread tools are logarithmically relief-grinded and therefore have a constant shape. We can manufacture thread tools according to your specific requirements. It is also possible to grind a multiple thread. Our tools are available with full or partial profiles for burr-free work. With the help of our unique, proprietary production process we can produce even very complicated profile shapes using logarithmic relief grinding. Normally, profile shapes are relief ground in radial direction. On request, we can process one-sided profile shapes with logarithmic relief grinding in the radial and, slightly, in the axial direction (thus keeping the profile constant). The logarithmic relief grinding of the milling cutters means that their cutting faces can be reground several times without changing the profile; the profile remains 100% constant and the life of the tool is that of a new tool. Screw-on thread milling cutters are normally straight fluted; on request we can also produce helically fluted milling cutters with logarithmic relief grinding. We can design and produce the necessary cutter arbor devices in-house.
