PETRO-PIPE® NATURAL ESTERS FILTER FOR DRAINAGE OF RETENTION TANK (Ø INLET : 2'' MALE) Filter cartridge for natural esters type MIDEL EN or FR3 COOPER This PETRO-PIPE® is a filter cartridge for rainwater contaminated by natural esters for retention tanks or small concrete pit. The cartridges solidifies instantly when large natural ester leak occurs. Made out of PVC to ensure better resistance through time, the PI616-FR3 cartridge is specially designed to any type of tank. It ensure filtration of rainwater drainage, wile tripping harmful natural esters: it therefore, forbid any ground contamination. The PI616-FR3 filter is a cartridge to be screwed onto an M2 valve. It is designed for medium flow rates (5 liters/min), for daily use. It is highly recommended to change the cartridge every 5 years to guaranty its correct solidification properties. The active media into the filter is a mix of different oleophilic and hydrophobic polymer components which trap definitely natural esters. During a significant spill of natural esters, the components react form a plug, preventing any fluide from discharging into the environment: the system is self-locking and works whithout mechanical parts, nor electrical connection. In all cases tested, the oil concentration in the water at the filter's outlet is less than 5 ppm.
