PTB-C-24 HYDROCARBON WATER FILTER FOR PTB-24 PETRO-BARRIER™
The PTB-C-24 is an active substance cartridge internal to the PETRO-BARRIER™ Pumped. It drains hydrocarbon contaminated rainwater from large containers, pits and retention tanks.
The water is pumped from the sump and sent to the inlet chamber of the PTB-24 through the hose. The cartridge solidifies instantly when large hydrocarbon or ester leak occurs.
Made out of PVC to ensure better resistance through time, the PTB-C-24 is a replacement cartridge for the PETRO-BARRIER™ PUMP system. It ensure filtration of rainwater drainage by pumping from the retention volume to the PETRO-BARRIER™ while trapping harmful hydrocarbons: they therefore, forbid any ground contamination.
The filtered flow rate is approximately 110L/min and should be changed between 3 and 5 years. The active media into the filter is a mix of different oleophilic and hydrophobic polymer components which trap definitely hydrocarbons.
During a significant spill of oils, the components react and form a plug, preventing any fluide from discharging into the environment: the system is self-locking and works without mechanical parts, nor electrical connection.
Patented system, ideal for transformer retention pits and remote pits: you can safely evacuate large volumes of water potentially polluted with hydrocarbons, without any modification of your civil engineering.
It's installed in the PTB-24. A set of pre-filters (PTB-SF-24 and PTB-DF-24) is essential to limit the risk of clogging the cartridge with dust contained in the water.
