The general provisions for “Electromagnetic devices and components” were considered in accordance with DIN VDE 0580 during development/design.
This noise-suppressed direct current (DC) single-action pull solenoid with plunger and punched yoke bar uses a cost-effective pull actuator design. The plunger is mounted in a zero-maintenance precision bearing. Stroke limitation in both final stroke positions (suppressed) is already integrated, i.e. the solenoid uses a captive plunger design.
Noise-suppressed direct current single-action pull solenoids require optimum configuration to match customer requirements. Optimally-matched customer control systems ensure ideal pull and return acoustics.
If required, and for an additional fee, you may receive:
•An additional plunger return spring
•A yoke bar with lateral threading
•A plunger with internal threading or groove (pull actuator design)
•A plunger with an additional thrust rod (push actuator design)
This unit size is naturally also available as an “unsuppressed push actuator” version.
Coil design
The coil body has two radially-mounted, square-profile connec-tor pins. For an additional fee, the radial pin length can be made to suit customer requirements. Other coil connectors can also be provided at additional costs (for special coil body tools).
Protection class IP00, DIN EN 60529 (VDE 0470-1)
Thermal class B (temperature threshold 130 °C), VDE 0580
Characteristic magnetic force curves
Magnetic forces shown assume a medium coil winding factor, maximum heating and 90% of rated voltage. For series produc-tion, reduce forces specified by a factor of ~0.8.
