Chlorine is a strong oxidant that allows the degradation of chemically oxidizable organic and inorganic matter. Additionally, due to this property, chlorination is one of the oldest chemical processes used for the disinfection of drinking water. In Mexico, by law, it must contain a minimum of 0.2 mg/l up to a maximum concentration of 1.5 mg/l.
On the other hand, some processes such as iron removal in FILOX® filters and ultrafiltration require the addition of chlorine either as a catalyst or for system cleaning.
At HIDROAGUA, we have a wide range of products that will allow you to chlorinate water in a highly efficient way, such as liquid chlorine dosing pumps, chlorine tablet dispensers, food grade chlorine, granular chlorine and tablets.
Chlorine dosing systems
HIDROAGUA automated equipment for chlorine dosing delivers the correct amount thanks to the use of pumping and control equipment as well as calibration carried out by our technical team that will ensure the addition of chlorine in a precise and continuous manner.
Equipment
The HIDROAGUA chlorination kit is mainly composed of 3 parts:
• Flow switch
• Diaphragm type chlorine dosing pump
• Tank for dissolving chlorine with a capacity of 130 l.
Flow switch: This is a controller for the dosing pump which, when it detects water flow in the pipe, will send a signal to the pump which will then start dosing chlorine. On the other hand, if there is an interruption in the water flow, either due to a stoppage in the general pumping system or a failure in the services, the switch will send a signal to the pump, which will stop dosing until the water flow is restored.
