Bag filters are equipment designed to retain a wide range of suspended and sedimentable solids contained in water. Due to their shape, these devices have a smaller filtering surface area compared to cartridge filters. However, due to the bag shape, their solid retention capacity is substantially increased. Additionally, these types of filters are easy to clean, since it is only necessary to remove the bag with the retained solids, contrary to what happens with cartridge filters where the housing must necessarily be washed at each replacement.
Bag filters, like cartridge filters, are basically made up of two parts: the bag holder, casing or housing, and the filter element, which in this case is shaped like a bag, which is generally disposable, although in some cases it can be washable and reusable.
Bag holder sizes and materials: At HIDROAGUA we have two bag holder materials, your choice will depend on two important factors: your application and the flow rate of water to be filtered.
