The battery pack extrusion needle tester simulates the situation in which the battery pack is subjected to extrusion during use of various types of power lithium battery packs, and artificially presents different conditions that may occur when the battery is subjected to crushing. Principle: The battery pack extrusion tester places the battery between two extruded plates. The hydraulic cylinder applies pressure to the battery being squeezed to short-circuit the internal battery. When the voltage between the two poles of the battery drops to zero or close to Automatically return to zero at zero hour. Or the pressure causes the battery to deform to 85% of the original size for a period of time, then presses to 50% of the original size of the battery, and then returns to the position. After the completion of the two modes, the battery is judged to be non-flame and not explosive according to the standard.
Test description
Single battery extrusion
Test conditions:The single battery is charged according to the régulations and tested according to the following conditions.
The battery is charged according to the method of 6.1.3
A.Squeeze direction: apply pressure perpendicular to the battery plate
B.crush plate shape:
Semi-cylindrical with a radius of 75 mm. the length of the semi-cylinder (L) is larger than thesize of the battery being squeezed
C.Degree of extrusion:
Stop the crush after the voltage reaches OV or the deformation reaches 30% or the extrusion force reaches 288l?f!.ndard Observation 1h
