Guardian has introduced its new Zone 1 telephones in both keypad and ringdown versions. Models are housed in a rugged IP66 enclosure which can be used where the more stringent Class I Division 1 certification is not required including: Refineries, Processing Plants, Coal Mines, Off Shore Drill Ships and resource based Tanker Depots.
ATEX Zone 1 certified products provide safety and protection in atmospheres where a mixture of air and flammable substances in the form of gas, dust, vapor or mist are present frequently, continuously or for long periods.
These units will operate in temperatures from -20C to + 60C. The housing and hand set are made from a high impact thermoset compound providing resistance and protection to a wide ambient temperature range, humidity, corrosion, dust and the daily wear and tear of use in severe environments.
The DTT-50-Z (curly cord) and the DTT-60-Z (armored cord) are standard with a speaker phone, LCD display, and a large user friendly keypad which can be used with gloves. The key pad has Volume Control buttons as well as Link, Redial, Release and Flash keys along with a 20 number memory and 10 quick dial capability. These units also have an internal ring detect relay which will activate (up to 240 VAC @ 5A) a line powered loud ringer or visual warning device when a ring signal is activated.
The DTR-51Z (curly cord) and DTR-61-Z (armored cord) are ringdown versions of the Zone 1 telephone. Calls from these telephones are direct by the PABX and the call is activated by simply lifting the hand set. Our ringdown telephones have a Volume Control button on the hand set and have all of the other standard features of the key pad units.
