The Vx20 series by Gurley Precision Instruments is an Optical absolute rotary encoder which features its combined design of simplicity and ruggedness of an encoder. It comes with Gurley's unique technology which is not that costly and reliable that any convention absolute encoder. The unit is available in two accuracy grade and a variation of mechanical configuration. Each of the unit has an LED illumination that can last about 100,000 hours. For this specific model, it comes with an IP64 sealign which suits to harsh environmental condition.
Thecombines the opto-mechanical simplicity and ruggedness of anincremental encoder with the system reliability and interfacing ease of an absoluteencoder. Utilizing Gurley's uniquetechnology, theis lessexpensive and more reliable than any conventional absolute encoder of comparableresolution and accuracy. Theis available in two accuracy grades and a variety ofmechanical configurations. Alls share these features:LED illumination for long life 100,000 hoursDifferential photodetectors for stable signalsSmall number of wires from the encoderAvailability of non-binary resolutionsDifferential output for noise immunityIP64 sealing for harsh environmentsSeries Vx20
