Description

Both thermoset and thermoplastic products can be used for a wide range of cleaning, deburring/deflashing and paint stripping applications. Guyson Guyblast is a urea based thermoset resin granulated to produce jagged angular shapes that clean with a unique chipping and shearing action. Without the aggression of mineral or metallic media, this product is ideal for cleaning more delicate products or removing surface residue and coatings whilst leaving the substrate undamaged. It is the most common and popular of the “soft impact” plastic media and is often used for dry stripping on composite and aluminium products i.e. paint removal applications using pressure blast equipment at relatively low pressures. It is commonly known as US type 2 plastic media. Available to Rolls Royce CSS227 quality standard. Paint, coating and carbon removal. Mould, die and tool cleaning. Removal of light flash from die castings or burrs from machined parts. Deflashing of electronic components. Guyson Flashgrit is a specially produced soft acrylic thermoplastic blast media, often specified for military and aerospace dry stripping i.e. paint removal applications. All product is manufactured to comply with US Military specification MIL-P-85891A and Rolls-Royce CSS227 standards. It is commonly known as US Type 5 plastic media Removal of paint and coatings from aluminium and composite materials, whilst leaving the substrate undamaged. Guyson Guystrip is an amino based thermoset resin, granulated to produce jagged angular shapes that clean with a unique chipping and shearing action.
