Ceramic blasting medium

Useful for finishing and peening applications where long bead life is important. Guyson ceramic beads are a high quality zirconia based blast medium with a very slow breakdown rate and as such are ideal for impact finishing operations involving both manual and automated machinery, where consistency of finish is important. Additionally, dust levels generated are considerably lower than with the equivalent glass bead. The standard product is available in a range of different bead sizes and these are ideal for many blast processes such as surface cleaning, deburring, cosmetically enhancing etc. Also available is a higher quality product where checks to roundness, surface defects etc allows the bead to be certified to the demanding standards of aerospace and automotive shot peening applications. Being chemically inert and iron-free products, these beads can be used for a wide variety of applications such as cleaning without dimensional change, shot peening, stress relieving, deburring, scale removal etc
