The VC-400 combines the versatility of a small VF Series vertical machining center with the pallet-changing ability of our EC-400 HMC. The fully integrated pallet changer allows you to set up jobs on one pallet, while you’re running parts on the other pallet. For additional productivity overnight, simply load up both pallets and push Cycle Start before heading home. For high-volume work, set up the same job on both pallets, or set up each pallet differently for high-mix, low-volume work. For extended production and true “lights out” capability, a 6-station pallet pool and high-capacity tool changer are available. NOTE: The Pallet Pool requires the optional 50+1 side-mount tool changer. Load and unload parts on the pallet waiting at the load station, while the spindle is making chips in the work envelope to keep the machine producing parts. You can even set up a new job on one pallet, while your machine is making parts on the other. A dedicated pallet-scheduling table in the Haas control lets you check the status of each pallet.
