The force sensors RKS are optimallysuited for the precise measurement offorces acting in axial direction. In mostcases the outer ring is placed onto asupport or screwed to it and the force isacting on the inner ring, e. g. via a linearactuator. A typical application is the forcemeasurement at spindle drives of coating machinery.The membrane design principle is especially well suited for the design of high precision low silhouette sensors. Its speciallydesign makes the sensor less sensitive to a nonsymmetricalapplication of force.
