A suitable safety harness in a fall arrest system must be used for all work in areas at risk of falling. When selecting the right safety harness it must already be decided whether this should only serve as a fall protection, whether a combination harness with an integrated holding harness according to EN 358 or a seat harness according to EN 813 is required. The various features of the abutment possibilities (eyelets) on a safety harness are decisive. Drip eye: suitable to absorb dynamic fall stress (free fall) as well as for holding purposes. Rigging protection eyelets: fall arrester, but only to be used in conjunction with stationary climbing devices.
