Lift and rotate columns compromise a fixed base column and a gripping system that can rotate loads 180 degrees. The gripping system can be raised and lowered, allowing the machine to function alongside an assembly line. They are electrically powered, using high-capacity hoists and gears for the lifting and rotating of components. The gripping systems utilise an electro-hydraulic pump, removing every aspect of manual handling from the worker. The machine is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC). Lift and rotate columns provide a safe and effective way to manipulate very large components and can lift loads from 100kg to 10 tons. The fixed position of the columns with the PLC control provides distance between the worker and the components that are being rotated.
