An effective transmission tool extensively utilized in the industrial sector is Planet Gear Box, often called as planetary gearbox.
The fundamental set of a planet gear box is the sun gear, planetary gears, and ring gear. Comprising many planetary gears, the sun gear is situated at the middle. These planetary gears spin on their own but center on the sun gear. Whereas meshing with the ring gear, the planetary gears spin and circle around the sun gear as the input shaft forces the sun gear to rotate. Depending on gear ratio design, the output shaft may reach high-speed or low-speed output by means of this complicated motion.
There are many characteristics of planet gear box as follow:
High transmission efficiency is achieved by the planetary gearbox lowering the load on a single set of gears by means of many planetary gears sharing the load. Usually, its transmission efficiency is above 95%.
The planetary gearbox is very fit for circumstances where installation space has to be preserved as its extremely small form allows a great transmission ratio in a restricted area.
Multi-stage gear transmission allows the planetary gearbox to provide a significant output torque, fit for heavy-duty applications.
