The KHD series is a lead screw and nut, manufactured by Haydon Kerk Motion Solutions. This product uses Kerk patented AXIAL TAKE-UP MECHANISM to produce backlash compensation. Its special split nut with torsional take-up produces additional loading capacity. This series also offers high axial stiffness and low frictional drag torque. In able to remove the requirement for load compensating preload forces, the anti-backlash mechanism is included in the KHD unit. The assembly consists of a 303 stainless steel acme lead screw mated with a self-lubricating polyacetal nut.
