Description

MECHANICAL SURFACE TREATMENTS FOR COMPONENTS In addition to DLC-type coatings, the HEF group is able to offer a whole range of very hard coatings. These CERTESS™ NITRO coatings are used in a wide range of applications, and can be used to solve complex wear problems. NITRO stacks correspond to nitrides produced by the PEMS process at low temperatures (<200°C). These find their application in broad mechanical fields and enable complex wear issues to be addressed. Characteristics: - Hardness from 1000 to 4000 HV - Abrasive and adhesive wear resistance - Thermal stability up to 800°C - Oxidation resistance Treatable materials: Steels and cast irons - Carbides - Dense sinter - Inconels - Aluminum, copper and titanium alloys Application examples: - Parts subject to abrasive wear (textile machines, paper mill tools, aeronautics...). They help combat : - Abrasive wear - Adhesive wear - Erosion They are used in a wide variety of fields, including aerospace, automotive components, mechanical components used in industrial machinery and equipment, tooling applications (cutting, shaping, stamping, etc.), molds for the plastics and rubber industries, pressure injection, medical instruments and various decorative or optical applications.
