EJECT stacks are coatings developed for plastic and aluminum forming tools to guarantee very low wear in the injection zone and easy demolding for a wide range of materials. The aim is to increase tool life, improve the quality of parts produced, reduce lubrication, cut tool maintenance and reuse tools.
Features :
- Hardness from 2000 to 6000 HV
- Abrasive and adhesive wear resistance
- Chemically inert
- Thermal stability up to 800°C
- Oxidation resistance
Treatable materials:
- Steels and cast irons - Inconels - Aluminum, copper and titanium alloys
Application examples:
- Punches - Dies - Cavities - Mold peripherals - Ejectors - Slides
They enable coatings to be obtained with :
- Thicknesses ranging from a few nanometers to tens of microns
- Hardnesses ranging from 1000 to 4000Hv
Depending on the coating chosen, they provide treated parts with :
Tribological: very low coefficient of friction
Mechanical: very high hardness
Electromagnetic shielding
Optical
Electrical conductivity
Antibacterial

This process is implemented in a vacuum chamber where a plasma is created.
The HEF group mainly uses 3 methods to generate its plasmas and produce high-quality layers: PEMS™ CAM™ M-ARC™.
