Surface treatment for the prevention of wear and seizure of copper alloy parts. This treatment is obtained by tin base electrolytic plating followed by diffusion heat treatment at 400°C (752°F).
Characteristics:
• Increased surface hardness
• Improved adherence of lubricating films
• Reduced friction coefficient on lubricated parts
• Excellent abrasion resistance
Materials suitable for treatment: Bronze
• Brass
• Copper-aluminium alloys
• Copper-nickel alloys.
