V–Notch Ball Valve
Segment ball valve (V–Notch Ball Valve) is a throttling control segmented ball valve that provides high flow capacity with optimum characteristics for industrial markets including Pulp and Paper, Refinery, Chemical, and Petrochemical Industries.
AFC V-Port Segmented Ball Valve Applications:
● Slurry and Viscous Fluid
● Powder and Particles in Fluid
● Chips and Fibers in Pulp and Paper Process
● Flow Control
● Pressure Control
● Steam, Gas and Liquid
AFC Segment Ball Valve is primarily designed for flow control, and it can also be used for shut-off
operation. The notched port on the segment ball contributes to strong shear stress to cut through media with fibers
and particles. Consequently, this Segment Ball Valve is a good general control valve (equal percentage flow character) for most pulp and paper process applications, or similar flow contains fibers and particles.
Features
1. Body:
a) Integral body design offers greater rigidity against fluctuating pipe loads.
b) Eliminates the leak path associated with two piece body designs.
c) Both wafer and flange connection are available.
2. Core:
a) Specially designed V-notch ball provides strong cutting stress and tight sealing.
b) Hard chromium, nitriding, and HCOF treatments are all available for the ball surface treatment, improving hardness, abrasion resistance, fatigue resistance, corrosion resistance and performance under high temperature.
c) Well ground notched ball surface ensures small operating torque and tight seal, especially for metal seated
segment valve.
