Application: The screw type wedge action grip has an optimized wedge angle for tensile tests at: • - wires, fibres, foils and tapes • - fibre-reinforced plastics • - metals, alloys • - (geo-) textiles as well as • - thermo- and themosetting plastics The clamping device is characterised among others by its low construction height. Capacitiy: tension up to 10 kN Functionality The clamping jaws are opened and closed manually using T-handles. This simultaneously applies the preload force. The wedge effect increases the clamping force with rising tensile force. The clamping jaws are synchronized manually. An asynchronous clamping up to 6mm specimen gap is possible, larger displacements on request.
