Description
For precise application of glue to the edges of
veneer bundles.
Touchpanel right-hand sided in working direction,
veneer stop left-hand sided in working direction
Veneers are cut parallel as usual with the EFS or
ZFS guillotine. The operator places the veneer bundles
onto the roller conveyor which is then feeding it to
the gluing heads.
Aligning of the veneer bundle and setting of the
gluing heads according to the veneer width is
automatically done in one process. By passing the
rollers, a thin film of glue is precisely applied to
the edges of the bundle. As soon as the water of the
glue is evaporated, the veneers can either be processed
on the KUPER FLI 1000 or the KUPER CRC or ACR machines.
With this completely new concept of the KLM the parameters
of the preglueing process (pressure of alignment rollers,
hold-down rollers and glue-application rollers) are adjusted
individually according to number of sheets and veneer
thickness.
The height of the package is detected by a laser at the
infeed of the machine. According to this height the para-
meters for alignment and glueing of the package are
automatically adjusted. These parameters can be stored,
edited and retrieved for different veneer species.
