The Phascope® PMP10 handheld instrument is able to measure thickness of electrically conductive coatings on many substrates. This can also include small structures and surfaces that are rough. It uses the phase sensitive eddy current method conforming to DIN EN ISO 21968 norms for rapid and precise coating thickness measurement. It has the ability to measure the thickness of metallic coatings on ferrous, non-ferrous or electrically non-conductive parts. It is accompanied by the PC software Fischer datacenter. The instrument is used to measure zinc, copper, aluminum coatings on steel and iron (probe ESD20Zn for rough surfaces), zinc coatings on small steel parts (probe ESD2.4), galvanic nickel coatings on steel and iron (probe ESD20Ni 60 KHz or 240 kHz).
