Structure It consists of furnace shell,furnace lining,heating element,furnace cover,furnace lifting device, hot wind circulation system and cooling system, atmosphere control system ,intelligent electronic control system and so on. 3. Operation cautions Pit type carbonitriding furnace is mainly used for carbonitriding that adops mixture of carburizing and nitriding . Medium temperature carbonitriding is used to improve the hardness of workpiece, low temperature is mainly nitriding,its main purpose is to improve the wear resistance and anti - bite of the workpiece.The gas organization after carbonitriding, quenching, tempering are nitrogen martensite, carbon nitrogen compounds and residual austenite.Strength and abrasion resistance of 0.6 ~ 1.0 mm arbonitriding layer is nearly same to that of 1.0 ~ 1.5 mm.The main components that needs carbonitriding is gears, which is used in automobile, tractor gearbox more, and needs priority middle temperature carbonitriding.
