Tubular heaters are highly compacted heating elements which are supplied in straight or bent condition. Heating elements are used in a wide variety of industrial applications due to their high performance capability.
Heating elements can be bent while in cold condition and they are intended for the heating of solids, fluids and gaseous media. Tubular heaters which are often installed in industrial Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen Fensterscrew plug immersion heaters, Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen Fensterflange heaters or Öffnet internen Link im aktuellen Fenstercirculation and flow heaters are bent into a U-shape. We produce heating elements up to a straight length of 7 meters or bent to suit the respective application.
Construction - Tubular HEATERS
Tubular heaters consist of a steel tube (Ø 8.5 / 11.5 / 12 / 16 mm) and a coiled resistance wire which is aligned centrally in the tube and embedded in highly compacted magnesium oxide (MgO). This provides a durable and stable positioning of the heating element. Welded-on bolts are used as electrical connection and customizable unheated zone.
Due to the high compression the electric heaters are characterised by high insulating resistance and excellent thermal conductivity between heating wire and sheath material.
The tube's end is sealed with special sealing compound in order to maintain excellent electrical insulation. Ceramic bushings insulate the connecting bolt from the sheath material.
Depending on the intended purpose the tube can be delivered in copper, stainless steel and special alloys on request.
