HIDRACAR compression dynamometers are special dynamometers to be installed in lathes to control the machining of shafts, which could get deformed if subjected to excessive heat. DESCRIPTION AND PERFORMANCE When the rising temperature expands the shaft, which is in contact with the inner ring of the dynamometer main component, a pressure is transmitted to the ring; pressure which is measured by the dynamometer. The control dial gauge allows for setting lower and upper limits that control the operation of the lathe.
