The 3151 series is a ground resistance meter. The series provides a measurement with 3 electrodes. The resistance measurement includes factors which are not encountered during resistance measurement. These instances are polarization of the earth, influence of grounding current due to leak current and grounding voltage, and influencing auxiliary grounding resistance. The series can provide a more precise measurement on harsh conditions. The series uses alternating current potentiometer method. This method gives an accurate measurement. The device consist of an auxiliary grounding resistance check and measurement frequency switching.
