The DF40GT series connector is compact in size yet suitable and reliable in harsh environments due to the advanced design and the materials used. This connector can withstand temperature ranges of up to 125 °C, satisfying severe automotive requirements. Combined with a low stacking height of 1.5 mm and pitch of 0.4 mm; DF40GT has a minimized depth of only 3.68 mm, reducing the required mounting area while creating additional board space to optimize any design.
The DF40GT connector is part of the Hirose DF40 family series of FPC-to-Board connectors. The product ranges in this series are all designed for high-speed transmission having differences between shielding, locking mechanisms and heat resistance giving design flexibility for various applications. Furthermore, DF40GT has a metal shielding plate on the outer edges of the receptacle, suppressing electro-magnetic radiation and providing excellent EMI (electromagnetic interference) protection. Additionally, there is one ground connection on each corner of the housing (4) to further secure grounding performance.
