This Zeiss EC Plan Neofluar 2.5x/0.085 objective is compatible with all current Axio microscope models. Like new condition - no marks, scratches or signs of use - perfect optics. This is a newly designed lens with a higher NA and more resolving power than ever before. The best choice for any lower magnification work where you want to image a wide field of view with a sharp, crisp and flat image edge to edge. An especially good objective for pathology applications. Plan Neofluar objectives have increased numerical apertures, color correction and flatness for demanding research applications. The EC Plan Neofluar line is the most recent design from Carl Zeiss with enhanced contrast (EC) and improved stray light control. Objective was tested on AxioImager stand with excellent results as would be expected. Important note for transmitted light work - all upright microscopes require a swing top condenser to illuminate the full field of view. For use on inverted microscopes in transmitted light, the 0.35 condensers of AxioVert/AxioObserver are compatible while the 0.55 condensers will not fully illuminate the field. The performance in fluorescence is excellent for this magnification, this objective is compatible with all fluorescence microscopes.
