Description

VERTICAL UPWARDS CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINES FOR OXYGEN FREE COPPER, COPPER ALLOYS, BRASS AND BRONZE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SYSTEM Machined graphite crucible. Compact construction in minimum space. Adjustable cooling water. Digital counter for casting speed mm/min. The HORMESA- Conticast® RV range of vertical continuous casting machines are used for the manufacture of oxygen free, high conductivity copper rod which is used to produce copper wire (C10200, ASTM B1, B2, & B3). The RV machines can also be used for the manufacture of brass rod, bronze rod (eg. CuAlFe) and copper alloy rod (eg. CuMg, CuAg). The HORMESA – Conticast® RF range of continuous casting machines can be used as combined melters/casters or they can be used in conjunction with a pre-melting furnace (coreless/channel induction or gas/oil fired furnace depending upon the application).
