Description

Our Mica-insulated Hot Disk® sensors are mechanically firm and designed for measurements at elevated temperatures, typically in the 300°C to 1000°C range. Coming in eight models of different radii to date, they are commonly more perishable at higher temperatures, while easily replaced and available in bulk. Our current portfolio of Mica-insulated Hot Disk® sensors for Isotropic, Anisotropic, Slab and One-dimensional measurements, with an operating temperature from 300°C up to 800°C (or 1000°C in special cases), is outlined in the following table, followed by images and detailed dimensions: *Only for one-dimensional measurements. **For applications with thermal conductivity larger than 5 W/(mK), the Cp-value must be known beforehand. ***Intended for large and very high-conducting samples. The Mica-insulated Hot Disk® sensors are delivered without cables. They are instead mounted in special sensor holders, e.g. our sensor interface for high temperatures accessories, to which electrical leads with insulating ceramic rings are mechanically attached.
