IR20 and IR20WS are research-grade pyrgeometers used for high-accuracy longwave irradiance measurement. The IR20 is equipped with a dome, and a solar blind filter with a cut-on at 4.5 x 10-6 m. The IR20 can measure either day or night, while the IR20WS provides more accurate results due to its wider spectral rays at 1.0 x 10-6 m. The tools are specifically designed to aid in meteorology and climatological studies. Features of these tools include correction of temperature dependence through measurement function, with a high-sensitivity, low thermal-resistance sensor, and fast response time. It is also provided with an on-board heater, and instrument cut-on wavelength displayed on the product certificate.
