Molybdenum carbide (Mo2C) is a dark gray metallic powder with high melting point ,hardness, good thermal stability and mechanical stability, excellent corrosion resistance, widely used in a variety of fields in high temperature resistance, friction resistance and chemical corrosion resistance. The electronic structure and catalytic properties are similar to those of precious metals. It is used as catalysts for reactions involving hydrogen, such as alkane isomerization, unsaturated hydrocarbon hydrogenation, hydrodesulfurization and denitrification. It can also be used as superhard tool material, wear-resistant material, heating material and high temperature structure material.
