Description
The HUNGER shaft seal type WDI is applied as a
sealing element for permanently rotating shafts and
is capable of sealing on both sides.
Due to the use of special materials and an optimum
seal profile it can be used for speeds up to 0.8 m/s.
The gap size should not be more than 0.2 mm.
The surface finish of the sliding surface should be
Ra 0.1 - 0.3 μm.
Depending on the specifications and operating conditions
it is recommended to have the running surface
hardened to approx. 56 HRC or hard chromium plated.
