Thanks to our “BOY XS” machine, which specializes in micro injection moulding, we are ideally positioned to manufacture even the smallest precision parts economically and in a resource-saving manner.
We can process high-performance plastics such as PEEK in this process, as well as all common engineering and standard thermoplastics.
The particular challenge with micro injection moulding is the precise adherence of the melt temperature and the injection pressure at a minimum dosage volume. Article weights below 0.1 g and wall thicknesses thinner than 0.3 mm can only then be realised with process reliability when the injection moulding machine and the injection mould have been optimally designed for this task. Should the injection unit be too large, then a much greater amount of melt would be provided than is required for an optimal cycle sequence. This then leads to the thermal damaging of the raw material and will result in faulty articles. Furthermore, a precise adherence of the injection volume would be impossible, leading to articles that are either not filled 100% or are overmoulded and with flash.
Our machines specialised for micro injection moulding are fitted with the perfect equipment to produce such demanding parts with process reliability. A runnerless moulding of the article is also possible with a suitable article geometry. An additional hot runner nozzle is not required for this!
The precision injection moulds are produced by highly experienced specialists in our tool manufacture.
