Oil and grease separators SCM series are used for the pretreatment of kitchen wastewater and for all those drains where there are oils and fats of animal and vegetable origin. They should be installed near the source of pollution and should not collect water from toilets and meteoric ones. SCM series oil and grease separators are used to pre-treat kitchen drainage water and, in general, all those drains where oil and grease of animal and plant origin are present. They should be installed near sources of pollution and they must not collect water coming from sanitary services and rainwater. In SCM series static separators, oil and grease are removed from the drainage water according to the physical principle of flotation that allows the greasy substances, with a specific weight less than the water, to separate by rising to the surface. The separator is a pre-treatment phase which must be followed by installation of a biological system, before draining the waste water The separators are dimensioned based on prepared meals, taking into consideration that oil and grease production is 3-9 kg/Inh per year. SCM series separators have a purification performance of 85 to 95%, limited to the content of animal and plant fat.
