Less data, more speed, maximum precision.
uEye EVS with event-based sensor.
Cameras of the uEye EVS product line show that even the latest sensor technology can be offered in a budget-friendly industrial camera in the smallest standard format of the industry. Thanks to their small size and low weight, the cameras can be easily integrated into image processing systems. All models have a lockable USB3 Micro B connector (SuperSpeed USB, 5 Gpbs).
Their event-based vision sensor (EVS) realises fast data output with low latency by detecting changes in brightness, which each pixel records asynchronously and outputs together with the coordinate and time information.
This makes the camera suitable, for example, for high-speed imaging, capturing the smallest object sizes and for motion tracking, movement analyses, monitoring and counting processes.
For extremely fast processes
The temporal resolution is less than 100µs. This means that even the fastest movements can be captured with a aquivilent image-based frame rate of more than 10,000 FPS without motion blur.
Extremely high dynamic range
uEye EVS cameras produce results even in extremly low light conditions. Thanks to the pixel technology, the event-based sensor recognises changes in contrast down to 0.08 lux and exceeds the sensitivity of conventional image-based sensors, even in very bright scenes.
Results instead of raw data
Inspired by the human eye, the EVS sensor technology focuses on capturing pixel movements and transmitting them with coordinates and time stamps. Instead of just the brightness values of the pixels, this provides directly usable movement results.
