SABEC brake boosters cover the need of electromechanical brake activators in direct current
motors. Boost and non-boost versions are available, working in quarter-wave, half-wave and full-wave.
Installation on DIN EN60715/50022 rail
Lower consumption and heating of the brake
Different operations for different brakes
For those situations requiring the use of electromechanical brakes and motors, especially when a swift action on the brake is needed. Specifically designed to be used in brakes of rotation, driving and lifting motors for crane towers, bridge cranes, elevators, lifts…
When SABEC-CB50 is powered, the brake is released through an initial 2-second boost. Its function is to quickly open the brake without interfering in the converter. During this boost, 90% of the wave is supplied. After the 2-second boost, SABEC-CB50 reduces the output boost to 45% of the full wave DC output voltage (hold output) to avoid overheating and a wasting of energy. When power supply is removed, the brake closes.
When SABEC-CB25 is powered, the brake is released through an initial 0.5-second boost. Its function is to quickly open the brake without interfering in the converter. During this boost, 90% of the wave is supplied. After the 2-second boost, SABEC-CB25 reduces the output boost to 22% of the full wave DC output voltage (hold output) to avoid overheating and a wasting of energy. When power supply is removed, the brake closes.
